Watch Jaydon and Jacynth Grow #1

Jaydon is 9 months old today, which means that he has now spent the same amount of time in this world as in the womb (approximately). What a journey it has been, considering all the medical issues and concerns we had before he was born. Now, he continues to be healthy, cheerful, energetic and growing too fast!

He still enjoys putting everything into his mouth. He's got 4 teeth now and more are on the way...

He loves his food and water very much!

Oh, and whatever else he can get a hold of... including dry leaves...

He loves his outdoor time, and does not hesitate to get dirty and messy...

He also enjoys being a distraction at church

and of course, our church family love him too!

He can now stand on two legs, so can be officially classified as genus 'homo'

He can also reach for his own toys. This of course means that the older-kids-toys-and-books are now in danger...

not to mention our stuff too...

The child-proof gates, which we initially installed for Jacynth when we returned home from Perth, now serves to keep Jaydon out of the kitchen and from climbing up the stairs.

They have not kept him out of wandering into the dollhouse though, in which he got stuck and couldn't get out. 'Alice in Wonderland' came to mind....

His sister played a big part in encouraging him in his new skills. He started waving 2 weeks ago... but when he learned how to clap a week later, he quickly stopped waving. And now that he is giving hi-5's, he's hardly clapping anymore. :D

Jacynth is 2 and a half years old.... and we are proud to say that she can now draw matchstick figures! Here's her first drawing of Daddy, Mommy, Jacynth and Jaydon...

aliens?

She has just begun writing alphabets and numbers, with not much effort from our end...

J-A-C-Y-N-T-H (errmmm... the only word she can spell ;p )

She loves eating her meat off the bone, including chicken and fish. In fact, she's much better at them than her daddy!

Jacynth loves buttoning up her shirt, and even removes Jaydon's buttons just so she can button him up again!

Sad to say, she's outgrowing all her clothes... all the oversized pyjamas and dresses she was wearing in Perth are now too small for her!

She's also experimenting with different career paths... here's Jacynth pretending to be a doctor...

It's great to be able to see these two precious kids interacting so much with each other now...

they're of course, starting to fight for the same toys!

At the end of the day, we're very glad that Jacynth is always more than happy to share - especially when it comes to food!

She also wants to do the things that Jaydon does and often asks to sit next to him during the morning potty time

Fortunately, once in a while, they are happy to have some me-time... and it can actually be peaceful for a moment...

Sleep time FTW!
