Pre-Denmark #3

In September, we had to start taking our huge task of packing more seriously.

The kids have literally been living out of suitcases since we returned from Perth because there hadn't been enough space in our wardrobe. But now, most of our things went into boxes because we were shipping them. Pat kindly took a day off to help entertain the kids when the shippers came and packed and loaded our things.

Packing aside, we said some more farewells to family and friends...

Yuet Pei took a day off work and we brought the kids to Kidszone for some fun

meeting uni friends at Kenneth's wedding and a dinner at Bad Boy Cooks

Evelyn and Ch'ng Toh's grand wedding

banana leaf rice with Farrah

farewell with church friends

Kevin's birthday

one last trip up north

we were in time to welcome the latest addition to the Koay family

the kids said their goodbyes at Sunday School

As our flight dates drew nearer, we had to halt going out for gatherings but we were blessed to have people coming to see us... some we forgot to photograph - including Joo Na, Colin, Ezra and Yuet Pei, who again took time off from work to help on the last day of packing...

The fateful night arrived when we were finally to board the flight which would take us half way round the world and gave us many days of jet lags. Our parents and Agnes' brother sent us off...

... and then some unexpected faces showed up too. It was lovely!

So long and 'til we meet again, Malaysia!
